Excellent Mascara, Buildable, Nice Shade of Black, Water Resistant but Washes Off with Soap
This is fantastic mascara. I love Clinique products! This mascara, especially, works great for my lashes, which tend to be short but average thickness. This mascara makes my lashes look super long – and adds some volume, too, which I really like. And it is buildable, so more coats means it looks more dramatic – and therefore it’s easy to control. I find Clinique products to be really expensive but well worth the cost. You really DO get what you pay for, with Clinique.

When I opened the package, I was so bummed out. The picture shows to the floor length, pink, sheer curtains. That is the opposite of what I got. I will never purchase from this seller again. Disappointed. –

This is the best mascara ever! I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to give this mascara a try, after all Clinique is such a stellar brand. I’ve been looking forever for a mascara that doesn’t irritate my eyes. I’ve tried insanely expensive brands at Sephora & I’ve tried brands that Walmart carries, and every single one irritates my eyes. This Clinique mascara doesn’t irritate my eyes, it doesn’t smudge under my eyes, it feels light with amazing lengthening results. This is the holy grail of mascara and this will be the only mascara I’ll ever buy from now on!

I had high hopes for this mascara. It goes on nicely but within hours dries and gets clumpy. I do not plan on reordering this product.

What happened to Clinique?
I rarely write reviews on products, but this one compelled me to express my views. I used to love Clinique products. This is the worst mascara I’ve ever used in my 50ish years of wearing makeup! I don’t know if I got a bad batch or what happened but it absolutely did not measure up to the description. It was not non-clumping, it was not water resistant, it was not long-lasting. It was actually a mess. The first day I used it, it seemed fine, but it went downhill after that. It came out in big globs that did not allow me to separate my eyelashes. There were tons of small hairs on the brush every time I used it. I assume the hairs were there help lengthen your lashes which I don’t really need. I’ve never seen anything quite like this. It was so weird. Trying to clean it off on the tube or with my fingers caused a huge mess and trying to use the brush to separate my eyelashes caused me to get black globs on my eyelid and other nearby areas. The struggle was real and I finally gave up. It was just too much work to try to get a decent result. I’ve never had a mascara like this. After several days, I finally sent it back. I have a hard time believing the reviewers that say it’s great. Saddened by this lack of quality from Clinique. I would give it zero Stars if I could. I’m going back to my old brand. ☹️
