Cleantopia for the win
Goes on easy and smooth- no clumps or thick application. I like that it’s a cheaper alternative to clean beauty products. I’ve purchased several other clean ingredient mascaras and this one adds the most volume and allows your eyelashes to look natural. Doesn’t smear or flake, lasts all day

Finally, a TRUE dark Navy Blue mascara!
It’s really hard to find a GOOD mascara that is a true, dark, NAVY BLUE in color. The color name, Ultramarine Black is a just that…Navy Blue!!! And the exact shade of it, too. I love this mascara! It goes on with ease (not sure why some people complain about the brush??) I think it works PERFECTLY and coats my lashes excellent. It is super easy to wash off, too.

Good Lash Separation, But Clumpy and Transfers
I’ve been searching for a clean brown mascara that performs well without the high price tag, so I wanted to love this one. Overall, it’s decent and has some positives, mainly the brush does a great job separating my lashes; I don’t need to comb through them after applying.However, the applicator itself pulls out very clumpy, and you have to be careful not to transfer a blob of mascara onto your skin while applying. I thought it was just new-product excess at first, but even after a month of use, it still comes out with a thick clump on the tip (see photo).I also have long lashes, and unfortunately this transfers under my eyes throughout the day. I’ve had this issue with other non-waterproof clean mascaras, but I was hopeful this would be different. Because of the smudging and clumping, it’s not quite the everyday mascara I was hoping for.

Surprisingly great
As someone who generally spends a lot more on mascara, I didn’t have the highest expectations for this. I usually buy benefit, but since it’s like $30 a tube and I wear mascara everyday, I was on the hunt for something a little more affordable.I live in Virginia where it’s very humid so waterproof was essential.This mascara says waterproof, but it was less hassle than the benefit waterproof, so maybe it’s technically more water resistant? Either way, I actually prefer that so I’m not ripping my eyelashes off when removing the mascara at night lol!It also makes my eyelashes look great and doesn’t flake!Generally store brands will also irritate my eyes a lot, but this one doesn’t at all! No itchy or watery eyes!I’m honestly super happy with this mascara and will definitely be buying it again.

Gloppy, flakes get in my eyes, straightens my eyelashes
I’m tossing this one and I’ve barely used it. I’ve been wearing waterproof mascara for decades, most frequently from Cover Girl and Maybelline (which are generally far better than high-end brands). This one isn’t ideal. It goes on thick and gloppy. Worst of all, I’ve ended up with flakes in my eyes, which I’ve never experienced before with waterproof mascara, since it generally holds together much better than water-based mascara. I’ve had to completely re-do all my eye make-up in one eye TWICE after flushing my eye for 10 min to get flakes out. UGH!! This mascara also tends to straighten my eyelashes and give me the spidery look. The only upside (depending on your perspective), is that this mascara is VERY hard to get off, even with an oil-based remover that I’ve been using for many years. I’ll stick with waterproof versions of Full ‘N Soft, Lash Discovery or Colossal Curl Bounce, all of which I’ve worn for years and highly recommend.

i didn’t like it
I chose this mascara due to clean ingredients and promising previous customer photos. Unfortunately, when I applied this on my eyelashes I saw absolutely no change. I kept layering….and layering….and layering, and looked like I was wearing nothing! the other mascara I normally use (waterproof mineral fusion), curls the eyelashes as you apply it. It is very convenient. I found the composition of this mascara to be buttery and not build up on itself. it’s like the wand ran through my eyelashes and it would not accumulate. As well, I also would like to mention the Wand had short plastic nubs, and i normally like the wand to have deep hair-like bristles to apply more product with less effort. Sorry I know it’s all very detailed but this is just how i feel, I unfortunately Cannot recommend this mascara.

So glad I bought this mascara! The last one I bought from a different brand made my eyes sting and water, and it kept smudging everywhere. This one from CG surprised me! No sting. No smudge and it goes on nice and thick and lengthens the lashes. Great product!
