Excellent quality *and* comfy!
This cushion is really nice quality, and an amazing value. It’s also very comfortable. I like having the buckwheat hulls as opposed to kapok because it conforms better to my body and is much more conducive to a long sit. It’s also very pretty!

Works just as needed
This is a comfortable cushion which raises me up to just the right height. When I want to meditate in another position, I can also put it on its side to sit astride—also comfortable. The fabric is sturdy. There’s a nice handle for carrying it around. The cover unzips underneath the handle if one wanted add or remove buckwheat husks—I don’t anticipate needing to doing this. (I think washing the cover would require first removing all the husks, could be messy.) The Twilight Blue color I chose reminds me of a dark teal—very peaceful. No complaints.

Bought this to sit next to baby on the play mat – I am glad I did
I purchased this to have something to sit on the floor on when I put my baby in his playmat/jungle gym floor mat. I have hardwood floors in my house and to be on my sits bones for a half hour + was becoming painful. I also wanted something high quality that could be re-purposed after my child got older and I did not need to be on the floor as much . I decided to purchase this particular item because I read that many could sit in it for an hour+ and not have pain, so I figured for 30-40 min spurts with my child it should do the trick. It definitely has not only made my back/sits bone pain go away but it has made it much easier to get up off the floor as well. The product is very well made, it has been kicked about and moved to several different rooms, I have even vacuumed it and it holding up great. I use it as a foot rest for my recliner also and it is very comfortable. I know this is a non traditional way to use this but it works for us and I am happy with my purchase.

Good cushion overall
Beautiful color, good height, and seems well-constructed, but was a little under-stuffed for my liking. I had some extra buckwheat hulls from another pillow so I added some to it, which was more difficult than anticipated because the opening is so small and oddly situation behind the strap on the side. Other cushions I had looked at have big flaps that open on the top, which would make it much easier to add or remove hulls. Even so, I was able to get it to the firmness that I wanted and am finding it very comfortable and supportive for my morning meditation sessions.

Perfect!!!
Very comfortable. Since my mom began suffering mobility issues, I became determined to sit on the floor more than in chairs and on couches. A lot of people–as they age–simply lose the ability to get onto the floor and get themselves off of the floor. I understand a lot of this is attributed to the availability of comfortable seating all the time, so my sister and I decided we’d sit on the floor as much of the time as we can when playing video games or watching tv, etc. She wanted beanbag chairs, I said no way!! The wool carpet is itchy and uncomfortable to sit on directly…..But this pillow is wonderful. the filling keeps it cool and breathing so your butt doesn’t get sticky, hot or itchy! The filling also is a bit moveable so that your legs and butt don’t fall asleep! It might bea little too tall for my liking, but overall i could not be happier. I also got the crescent shaped pillow as well with rocks!

Blissful! Excellent quality and durability in a meditation cushion
Overall Recommended meditation cushion at an everyday price with solid natural USA buckwheat filling. The finish and the material are well done with quality stitching. We have owned several Zafu from the waterglider company and they have been consistently reliable. Serious meditators here who use these daily for hours and even use them for most sitting since we avoid the spine-wrecking cushion world. Excellent spine support to be had here. They are washable and refillable if needed though there is no inside bag which would have been a useful feature. Some of the inside stitching is a bit haphazard but the outside is well seamed. A few corners cut, but for the price it seems a reasonable sacrifice for an otherwise quality job.

Great zafu!
I’ve been using a cotton filled (I think) zafu for years that I bought at a Zen Buddhist store. I got this current one because I wanted one near my work station since I now work at home. (I use the other one in a different room.) This new one is quite different from my other/old one, as this one is filled with buckwheat (so firmer) and it has more of a rugged, homemade texture to the covering. So it’s different from my first one, but I really like it. I got the plum one which is a perfect color for me. I just ordered the cotton-filled one to see how that one is like. At any rate, I highly recommend this zafu. And can’t beat the price for the high-quality.
