Full Coverage Double Wear Dupe!
I was pleasantly surprised by this foundation. I bought it without any big expectations but it is now one of my favorites! I have fair to light neutral/warm tones & chose the Neutral-Buff shade. I’m 37 & am starting to get some dark circles, red spots & breakouts every now and then so this works well for all that. Great for my skin tone too. It does have more warm yellow neutral tones rather than pink/red. I actually prefer more yellow tones in a foundation, just not too much. The coverage is full which I need at times when I break out. I love that it’s long staying top. It’s texture is most like Estee Lauder Double Wear, which is my favorite foundation. This is the closest dupe that I’ve found to it, so I hope Almay keeps making this product to alternate my expensive EL with drugstore prices. I use pressed powder on top but you don’t even need a powder because this is matte & sets faster than other foundations. It really doesn’t budge. I’d recommend a light moisturizer underneath this if you have dry skin. Oh, and I’m not wearing any concealer in the pictures, just used a sponge.

Best Foundation
I have tried a TON of foundation over the years. A little background: I am in my mid-30’s (so some wrinkles/fine lines), I have dry skin year round, and I have rosacea (just discoloration, no textured irritation). I struggle to find a foundation with the coverage I desire, but is also comfortable to wear all day at the same time. I have spent an obscene amount of money over the years on foundations (high-end and drugstore), only to find they don’t reach my expectations. I saw this new foundation come out a couple of months ago and decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did! I can’t say enough good things about this foundation. This gives me full coverage, can be layered to my liking depending on the day (some days I like my makeup to have a lighter coverage, others, I want medium-full coverage). This is medium-full coverage, but isn’t heavy or cakey on my dry skin. I still feel like my skin is able to breathe when I’m wearing this. It also lasts all day without wearing away! The only negative is that there isn’t a pump, but I can deal with that considering how great of a product it is! For color reference — I am fair with very pink undertones. I got the shade 120 Cool Bisque. Other brand/shade references: Revlon Candid — 120 Buff; Neutrogena Hydro Boost Tint– 20 Natural Ivory; Bareminerals — 01 Fair; Physicians Formula Healthy Foundation — LW2.

Good Coverage and Easy to Apply, But Hard to Match My Skin Tone
I have combination skin, dry in some areas with an oily T-zone, so I’m always looking for a foundation that balances both without clinging or sliding off. This Almay foundation has really good coverage and blends easily. It feels lightweight on the skin and goes on smoothly whether you use fingers, a brush, or a sponge.The downside for me was the shade match. I tried Neutral Sun Beige, and while it looked promising in the bottle, it ended up being too warm once applied. I had a hard time finding a shade that matched my undertone well, which was disappointing.As for the finish, it’s definitely matte, and a little too matte for my personal preference. It does a great job keeping my T-zone shine-free, but on the drier areas of my face, it looked a bit flat and emphasized texture by the end of the day. If you love a true matte look, you might like it more than I did.I really appreciate that it’s hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, cruelty-free, and dermatologist tested. It didn’t irritate my skin at all, which is a big plus.Overall, it’s a solid formula with great coverage, but the matte finish and limited shade match made it less ideal for my combo skin. Worth trying if you have oily skin and can find your perfect shade.

Tengo acné de adulto, aunque cuido mi dieta y tengo una rutina cuidadosa de limpieza. También tiendo a brillar como un foco con el maquillaje. Este es bueno para mí tipo de piel combinación/seca. Es decir me pelo de lo seca que está la piel, pero me brilla la nariz, pómulos y frente. Con otros maquillajes el brillos es extremo. Este es muy bueno, con cobertura buena y acabado mate. I love Almay and like a lot of reviews mention, it’s hard to find in stores for some reason. I was originally looking for the one I’ve always used – Almay TLC foundation, but no luck. This seemed to be the next closest and I’m so glad I ordered it! So silky smooth, great coverage and long wearing. This is the only makeup brand that doesn’t give me a shiny T-zone, and I’ve tried a lot of matte foundations. Keeps my skin looking soft and fresh, but doesn’t shine. Highly recommend!
