Go ahead and kick rocks because we pumped up the TPU overlay to help increase toe protection coverage and durability. Easily attach a Trail Gaiter, made to help keep your feet clean from debris, with an integrated GaiterTrap detail. It’s got lightweight, responsive midsole foam to keep you comfortable on all terrain, and a grippy MaxTrac outsole designed for traction and durability. A low 4mm drop and rocker shape geometry encourage an efficient toe-off and a smooth, quick roll through your stride. Love these shoes. They are comfortable and cushy. I bought another pair in another color because I liked them so much.

GREAT for hiking
I am thrilled with these shoes for hiking. My long search is over for light, supportive hiking shoes with good traction that accommodate the arthritis in my big toe. The wide toe box, the medium cushioning and the tread allow me to day hike with agility and comfort.

Great color scheme
I love the color scheme and style of this pair of Altra shoes. There is enough cushion for my feet and comfortable to walk in. Altra’s are the only tennis shoes I wear and have always been able to put them on and never had to worry about breaking them in. I can’t say that about this pair of women’s size 9. They rub against my ankle to where it looks as if a blister is starting to form. I wore them around the house with no problems but as soon as I wear them to the gym I have an issue. Wished it would have done that before the gym so I could return them.

Great hiking shoes!
These are my favorite (now my only) hiking shoes. Coming down gravelly inclines has always scared me because of the danger of my shoes slipping and causing more knee wrenching. That is not the case with these shoes. They have GREAT tread and really bite the trail. I’ve not slipped even one time with these shoes. I won’t hike in anything else now.

narrow mid foot
Super tight on the laces of my foot and the midfoot in general. I tried changing the lace pattern and it made them manageable but although the toe box is wide, the shoe itself isn’t. I don’t even have wide feet

Great shoe, runs narrow.
I love these shoes but I do have a narrow foot and they fit nicely. If you have a regular or wide foot, they may be too narrow.

So sad to give Altras a poor rating
Unfortunately they changed the width or something between last years experience Wilds and the experience wild 2s! I got the same size as my previous pair and the length was fine but my toe box was being smooshed! They are much narrower than previous pairs

I’m a solid 8.5, medium width. The 8.5 was the right length but too narrow sadly.

Bei diesen Modell ist leider der Riss enger wie bei anderen Modellen, somit kann ich meine Orthopädische Einlagen nicht benutzen. Schade dass man die Masse immer ändern muss. Ich dachte mit Altra meinen Schuh gefunden zu haben, aber die neuen Modelle passen nicht zu meinem Fuß.
