I have been testing lots of different leave in conditioners since the product I normally order has been discontinued. I was excited to try this one because of the strength building claims. I am a blonde with bleached highlights, so I work very hard to keep my hair soft and supple and prevent brittleness.This conditioner does a great job at leaving my hair soft and manageable and also a great job at working as a detangler. It spreads evenly through the hair easily while wet and I feel with extended use it really would do a good job at repairing hair as I have seen after using for a few days.The bad, for me. I have very fine, thin hair and I feel this product adds a lot of weight to my hair. If you have thicker or extremely coarse hair, I feel you would not see as much of this effect. This is the second product I have gotten with this type of spray bottle, and I find it much more difficult than a typical spritz bottle to use. I can never get the correct pressure on the trigger for the spray to stop and start where I want and I feel that I have less control in the placement of the product. The smell is strong and not a scent I like. This product smells very strongly of mint, which not a bad smell, is not what I want my hair to smell like and doesn’t blend well with my parfum and other hair products.All in all, its not a bad product, just not for my hair or for me.

Mielle Organics Babassu & Mint Damage Repair Leave-In Conditioner is a lightweight conditioner that can help care for your damaged hair. The plastic bottle holds 6.7 fluid ounces of spray that is dispensed in a continuous sprayer bottle. I appreciate that the manufacturer thoughtfully included a lock at the top of the dispenser to help prevent an accidental spray of the product from a child or elderly family member. The manufacturer instructions state to spray evenly moving from the root to the ends of your hair, gently distribute through your hair with your fingers first and then use a wide tooth comb. The moisturizing spray felt lightweight in my hair and had a fragrance with distinct peppermint scent notes but also had an underlying fragrance that reminded me of my Mom’s hairspray from the 80’s. When my hair was air dried, the fragrance was present but not strong. My hair felt noticeably softer to the touch and after several days of use, I feel that my hair feels healthier overall. It makes sense since the conditioner is made with moisturizing ingredients like aloe barbadensis leaf juice, peppermint oil, and babassu oil amongst other ingredients. The only detail that I was not a fan of was the continuous spray. The bottle that I received seemed to have some issues. It would start with a small continuous spray and stop but then when I would notice I needed a little more spray, the continuous spray would get stuck and I would not be able to stop the spray. No matter how light a touch I would have with the dispenser, it would get locked while spraying and I couldn’t stop it. I wish the bottle just had a simple pump dispenser which is easier to control. It is free of silicones, parabens, paraffins, mineral oil, sulfates (SLS/SLES), DEA, and Phthalates. Overall, this product performed as advertised and made a noticeable improvement to my hair.

Moisturizing without leaving my hair greasy
I depend on leave in conditioner to calm my frizz so I was happy to have the opportunity to order this Leave in Conditioner by Mielle. It comes in a 6.7oz bottle – not super huge but fair for the price. Bottle is vibrant and fresh looking. Scent is a mint scent. It reminds me of gum? Its like a sweet mint scent. I see others dont care for the scent, but honestly I loved it. It mixes nicely with my Aveda shampoo because its already somewhat earthy/minty. I do see that this could be hard for some that use more floral scented or unscented shampoo. It is a continuous spray nozzle which is easy to use. I do need to play around with it a bit more to control the amount coming out. So as far is its performance, I was super pleased! It moisturized my hair so well. I knew I was going to see good results simply because as my hair was air drying, I could feel a difference. Yes it was a little bit heavier but that was ok with me if it controlled my frizz. Was able to style my hair later with a curling iron and I have literally no frizz. My hair isnt greasy (though I did make sure to steer clear of my roots) and it looks silky and healthy. Overall, this leave in conditioner is great value for money and I will continue to use daily!

Smells really nice
It definitely makes my hair feel softer/smoother, however it is really easy to go overboard and make your hair very heavy and/or greasy. A little goes a long way. It doesn’t feel like it has long term affects on the hair, and is more of a band aid fix. The spray functionality is really nice, it locks at the top and the mist is very fine so it disperses will in the hair. The smell is pleasant and fresh. The price is good for what it is.

I love Mielle products, and this is no exception.
Okay, so I have straight brown hair that doesn’t get that frizzy, but I do have a problem with it not laying flat and having flyaways. I know I’m not the audience this hair stuff is designed for, but I was really happy with it (and I love their bond treatment as well). I love how it took away some of the dryness I have in my hair after blow drying. The added moisture left my hair shiny and bouncy and soft with no added weight, but more importantly, no annoying flyaways. Mielle products in general are of the highest quality, and this is no exception. I can’t say more about its effectiveness. Finally, it has a fresh mellow mint smell — it makes your hair smell light and fresh, but there’s not enough to smell like a tube of toothpaste. Overall, this is a terrific product.
