Have you ever tried to tell yourself something positive such as “I deserve to be loved”—only to hear in your own head words such as, “Oh, yeah? If you’re so lovable, how come a) you can’t find the right partner? or b) (Name) ghosted you; or c) (Name) treats you like you don’t exist?” Beyond just “thinking positive thoughts” (which often doesn’t work well), is there a way that actually works to turn around this kind of criticizing self-talk? A way to help restore the feeling of been a good and valuable person? The creators of the Miracle Mantras Affirmation Deck believe that the answer is yes. By using their affirmation cards and following their three-step process (affirmation, reflection, action) on a daily basis, teens or adults will find strong assistance in their “personal growth, emotional healing, and empowered living.”For numerous decades, I’ve worked with similar affirmation/reflection/action personal growth tools and processes, both personally in my own life and professionally as an educator and mentor. I’ve learned first hand that, with sufficient patience and commitment, affirmations (positive personal statements that reflect the best in the person saying them) do work.But I need to give a heads-up about this deck: these 54 affirmations are not for anyone who flatly refuses to believe that replacing negative self-talk with true, believable, positive self-talk is possible, nor will they be the best fit for someone who expresses constant negativity about themselves and/or others. They are, however, made for someone who already understands or is beginning to explore the tremendous power of what we think and say—whether for good or ill. In short, this deck is perfect for someone ready to embrace and act on statements such as “I deserve a love that honors who I truly am” (with its corresponding reflection question, “Are there relationships where you feel unseen or undervalued?” and action step, “Name one boundary you will lovingly reinforce.” (See the two photos attached to this review for three sample affirmations, with their corresponding reverse-side reflections and action steps.)Some additional practical info: 1) These 54 well-made, laminated cards (2-1/4” x 3-3/4”) are divided evenly among three categories: self-care (symbolized by a gold leaf), relationships (symbolized by double rings), and wealth (symbolized by a money bag. Note: “Wealth” here means more than money. It also includes success, sufficiency, and opportunities). 2) A positive statement (affirmation/mantra) is written on one side of each card, with a corresponding reflection and suggested action step on the other side. Tip: the reflections and action steps are perfect for personal journal writing or sharing with a trusted friend or family member. 3) A helpful instructions card (“How to Use These Cards”) is included in this deck. On the reverse side of the instructions, you’ll find an inspirational reminder (“Why This Works—You Are the Miracle”). A positive aspect: the instructions and supportive reminders are described specifically and clearly. A less-positive aspect: both sides of this card are printed in white text in a (very) tiny font size against a black background—not good choices for easy readability. (And you’ll definitely want to read both sides of the card.) 4) Because of the beautiful, rich complexity of the affirmations, I recommend these to teens (beginning at age 14) and adults. 5) Missing: the use of the word “Mantra” in the product name is never defined or explained anywhere in any of the cards or the instructions. 6) Missing: maker-company name and contact information, including a website, are nowhere to be found. I foresee that users of this product would easily want additional tips for getting maximum benefit from this deck and/or would want to purchase any similar products made by the same company.Bonus tip: I highly recommend doing all three steps (affirmation, reflection, and action) whenever you draw a card, which will accelerate the end goal of fully believing and acting on each life-affirming statement.Bottom line: This is one of the best, most well-crafted, and most affordable powerful decks of affirmations that I have seen. I am now inspired to follow the suggestion of the deck creators and pick a card at random each day. (That the “right” card somehow seems to be pop up on any given day is one of those slightly eerie and very welcome wonders.)

Compact but Powerful. A Daily Boost of Positivity and Mindfulness
These affirmation cards are smaller than I expected (about the size of a regular deck of playing cards) but they pack a serious punch. Each one has a thoughtfully written affirmation on the front and an exercise or reflection prompt on the back, which makes them so much more than just pretty quotes.I love that the deck is divided into three categories: self-care, love, and wealth. It helps you focus on different areas of your life depending on what you need that day. The messages feel genuine and well-crafted, and the prompts encourage real self-reflection and mindset shifts.They’re beautifully made, easy to shuffle through, and the compact size makes them perfect to toss in a purse, keep by your bed, or display on your desk for a quick daily reminder. Whether you’re just starting your manifestation journey or need a fresh spark of motivation, this deck is a wonderful tool for keeping your energy and focus in the right place.
