It WORKS, but you need to know a few things!
This stuff is an absolute game changer! After losing my hair due to brain surgery and the chemotherapy-type medications I have to take everyday, I couldn’t get my hair to grow, and what little hair grew was thin and unhealthy. Whether it should or shouldn’t have (we can debate the glass half full thing all day), my self-esteem was wrecked by not having the long, healthy hair I once had. My hair was my femininity, and I felt that I had lost that entirely. It was a very difficult time for me both physically and emotionally. By attending support groups for women with similar neurological/autoimmune disorders, I’ve learned those feelings are quite common.About two years ago, my hairstylist suggested that I try Ola Plex. She had seen very positive results in her salon from her other clients using the product line. I figured I didn’t have anything to lose (literally, I literally had no hair to lose), so why not give it a shot? Without a doubt, that was one of the smartest decisions of my life! My hair is now well past my shoulders, thick, and very healthy. Here are a few things that you need to know before you start using these products.1- I think you should use the entire product line, not just this treatment alone. That’s just my opinion, based on how well Ola Plex works on me with or without using the entire line. I don’t think it works as well without the Ola Plex shampoo and conditioner. The Ola Plex styling line is top-notch and works better than anything else I’ve tried. To me, it’s kinda an all or nothing sort of thing. I personally use the entire line, and I think in doing so, I was able to quickly achieve and maintain the results that I wanted.2- You will need to commit time to each treatment. The directions say to leave the treatment on for a minimum of 15 minutes. I would encourage you to keep it in longer. I typically apply the treatment right before bedtime, stick a shower cap on my head, and hit the bed. In the morning, I shampoo, and condition. The longer you leave in the treatment, the better the result. It is SO important to remember that this is a treatment, NOT a conditioner/deep conditioner/leave in conditioner/etc. I would say my average treatment time is about eight hours, but I’ve gone as little as one hour.3- The directions do NOT read to use sparingly. This particular treatment is definitely not an example of “a little goes a long way.” You need to have a good amount of product in your hair for it to work. Now, their shampoo and conditioner only require about a dime size amount. Those are great examples of “a little goes a long way.” Basically, I just don’t want anyone to feel the product doesn’t work, when the issue was actually that not enough product was used. At 8.5 inches past my shoulders (as of 10-9-24), I use close to an entire bottle every time I use this treatment, which is (on average) twice per week. When you first start using the treatment, when your hair is at its most unhealthy, you really should consider treating it more than only twice per week.4- I lost a good bit of hair, when I first started using it…which terrified me! I debated stopping it entirely. My hairdresser said the decision was entirely up to me, but she recommended that I try to push through it. She used a lot of big science words to explain why hair loss can be common when beginning this or similar treatments (to me, it sounded like Charlie Brown’s teacher, but I trust her). I told myself that I would commit to 6 weeks of treatment. If my hair was still falling out at that point, I would just stop using it. My period of hair loss was less than a month.I started to see new hair growth and an obvious difference in appearance after about a month. Overall, I went from a man’s military “high and tight” to just above shoulder length hair in about 18 months. It’s probably important to mention here that I also made sure to take a good vitamin supplement with Collagen, Biotin, and other “hair healthy” vitamins packed in them. There are many reasonably priced brands available on Amazon.To make a long story short (LOL), I have and will continue to recommend this product line to others. Most of my family and friends have all converted to Ola Plex, after seeing what it was doing for me. I hope the information I gave didn’t bore you too badly and actually helps you make a decision. (Please mark below, if you did find it helpful) To me, this stuff is a hair miracle in a bottle! It gave me my self esteem back, saving my hair. Worth its weight in gold!10/9/24 update; I had my husband measure my hair length past my shoulders. It is 8.5 inches past my shoulders as of today.

Did good for my hair , but burned my skin so bad
I have thin, medium length straight hair , with heat damage (not extreme but beginning to) virgin hair. I have oily scalp with dry ends. My hair was having a lot of slipt ends and just a lot of dryness towards the mid/end lengths of my hair & I needed something to decrease my hair damage and bring it back to life . When I recieved the $30 olapex I didn’t expect to be that small , but I was fine with it because I had high hopes for it . So the way I used this product wasn’t how the instructions say but the way people have using it to see better results, which is washing with shampoo your hair , apply the olapex , leaving it for 10mins , than rinse off, apply shampoo and than conditioner. When I used it the first time I didn’t expect it to be so liquidly , and it came out the bottle so fast & I have pretty long hair so this product isn’t going to last that long . But anyways I began to apply on to my hair , doesn’t feel heavy . The longer I left it the softer my hair felt , it was really nice & smooth . But I began to feel a sting/ burning feeling on my face ( keep in mind I was just ONLY washing my hair not my whole body that day to try the product) so I didn’t get really bad allergic reaction, my skin was red from my face and irritated but not that much and went away . But I was using a new shampoo so I assumed maybe it’s that and not the olapex , since it’s so expensive I just thought it work better . I only apply it to my mid/ends lengths of hair away from my face and not a lot either since it’s a small bottle . Anyways , my hair looked extremely a lot better , the frizz calmed down, my hair shined more, bouncy , and my ends aren’t as dry ( I also stop using heat completely has helped so much). My hair looks so nice . I decided to use it again couple days later . But this time hair and body , a full shower When I applied the olapex on my hair my face began to burn again but much more than the first since I was showering this time . Once I got out I had a rash on my back (my hair pretty long) , belly, chest & face . I used my favorite cream for it and it went away very quickly but my hair looks really nice . My honest opinion is this product works great for my hair but my skin so sensitive & this burned my skin sadly , so I wouldn’t recommend it for people who have sensitive skin , but it did do great for my hair .

Après une décoloration catastrophique qui a laissé les cheveux de mon amie dans un état désespéré à quelques jours de son mariage, nous avons cherché une solution urgente. Nous avons décidé d’essayer Olaplex hair perfector n°3, et avons opté pour une application nocturne sous un bonnet. Le résultat a été spectaculaire! Le produit a transformé ses mèches fragilisées en cheveux doux, forts et éclatants. C’était incroyable de voir une telle amélioration en si peu de temps. Ce soin a ressuscité ses cheveux, et assuré qu’ils soient parfaits pour son grand jour. Je le recommande vivement à tous ceux qui cherchent à restaurer et à revitaliser leurs cheveux abîmés. Je l’utilise maintenant, en cure au besoin, dès que mes cheveux nécessitent un coup de boost, ou avant/après une métamorphose importante ( coloration, mèches, balayage etc ). Ce produit nourrit et apporte brillance et légèreté à mes cheveux. On sent au toucher qu’ils sont plus épais. Je l’adore. Seul bémol: le prix…

Me han encantado. El pack viene fenomenal para probar todos los productos. Yo usaba solo uno y ahora en conjunto me va muy bien. Estoy preparando mi pelo para donarlo y se nota desde la primera aplicación esa restauración de las fibras y ese brillo. Me gustaría que los productos fuesen más grandes pero es cierto que cunde mucho con poco. Merece la pena coger el pack. Sueltos valen mas.Después de un tiempo usándolos el que menos me gusta es el acondicionador. Necesito cantidad y no noto nada. Hay que usar todos para que se note el cambio. Pero la preparación previa es superimportante. Sino el champu no se nota nada
