Superb trail and trail to road shoe!
This this shoe was everything I hoped it would be as a trail runner! I tested and trialed about 8 different trail shoes of many other brands and other versions of Saucony trail shoes also. Every runner is different but this was my shoe. I mostly run rocks, dirt, mud, ice, snow, gravel, dirt, hills but have to hit pavement sometimes too. This shoe has some waterproofing to the front toe which is great for puddles/rain/sprinklers and dries well after getting wet. The sole is firm and resistant to being chewed up by rocks like other shoes. The cushion in the shoe pads the areas of the foot to reduce impact in the right way as you trail run varying terrain. The curve of the shoe helps with the heel to toe foot motion. The design of the shoe sole and box is not over wide and over supportive so you can actually adjust stepping however you need on terrain as some shoes have so much stabilization that it actually hinders your ability to step as you run on the edges of the shoe depending on the terrain as you move left and right and around obstacles. The Grey is great because for some reason lots of shoes have white which just looks dirty trail running fast. I have this shoe in the green/yellow version as well because I liked this so much. The material stretches just enough to be form fit but snug too where some shoes the fabric stretches and breaks fast or others the fabric is super stiff and does not flex to actually perform for running. This would also be a good walking shoe as I will walk on it if needed during running and it remains comfortable. The tred is surprisingly well at gripping even for aggressive uphill climbs but comfortable and works on flat surfaces even pavement. Excellent shoe. Purchased summer of 2025. I have probably clocked about 280 miles in this shoe so far and I tend to run 3-10 miles each time. It is comfortable the entire run and even once done running. No blisters or friction spots for me either!

Out of the box – Trail Ready
Right out of the box, I took the Saucony Peregrine 15s on an 8.5-mile run along the Lewis & Clark Trail, and they impressed from the start. Lightweight, durable, and breathable, they offer solid support with just the right amount of cushioning. The lug depth is on point—great traction on wet rock, gravel, sandy sections, and loose dirt.Overall, I’m really pleased with the shoe’s performance, and the price point is hard to beat compared to other trail shoes I own. A strong choice for anyone looking for a reliable, ready-to-run trail shoe.

Great shoe if it fits your foot
First, I will say I love the peregrines and my very favorite version was the very first original due to its very sleek and narrow fit. Since then, especially the later versions, the sizing is more generous and true to size which may be great for some but not me personally. The version 15 is an awesome shoe if it fits your foot. The shoe has very good cushion for longer runs and has excellent traction on dry hardpack, technical terrain, and loamy or softer terrain. The lugs are pretty substantial and cover the entire outsole (no bald spots in the center like my Bushidos and others). The only issue with traction is on wet rocks they are slick but to be fair so are many of my other shoes (my hoka speed goats seem to be the exception). The fit of this version shoe just does not work well for me due to my foot size and shape. All my other peregrine versions I wear a size 12. In the version 15, a size 12 has way too much volume (size 12 seems be the break where a larger last is used). Size 11.5 fits great from a volume standpoint but is too short in length. Basically I need something like 12 narrow. Anyway, no fault of the shoe. If these shoes fit my foot I would love them and easily put them in the rotation for trail running and racing. These are worth a try and if they fit you well I think most people would be very happy with them. For me my biggest issue was heel rub and that was not apparent until long and steep climbs. Until then they felt good. I have had this same issue since version 12 of the shoe but this version is the worst yet. For whatever reason they do seem to take some time to break in, especially in the heel area. A hot soak in water followed by a good technical trail run with some good climbs can expedite the process and work out some of the out-of -box fitting issues, especially in the heel area. Again, an excellent shoe if it works for you.

Amazon’s recommended sizing on this one did not work for me
Seem to be good quality. Generally with Peregrines I order a 11 and use the standard width but some versions seem to be pretty narrow at times so I went with amazons recommendation to order a 12 wide. The size in length was perfect, but they were too wide and the fabric puckered when I cinched up the laces. I found another pair like better fit and (price wise) but if I was going to try to get the best fit I would probably try an 11.5 standard width.

Tried these after wearing out a pair of Peregrine 14’s. Tested them out on a 20 mile trail race with tons of mud, river crossings and steep climbs. Lots of traction and comfort.
