I am forever grateful for Shea Moisture “Daily Hydration Leave-In Treatment. I am mixed, black and white. My hair is naturally curly and naturally nappy lol. My hair tangles very easily, especially after washing it. In March of 2023, I tore a ligament in my right thumb. I am right handed. I ended up having surgery and being in a hard cast from March 2023 until July 2023. Around the same time, I was looking for a new hairbrush to help with detangling my hair because the regular hairbrushes were just tearing my hair out. I ended up finding one that I really liked. It felt like it glided thru my hair with ease. When I finally got my cast taken off 4 months later, I realized that my wonderful new hairbrush was gliding over only the top layer of my hair. With me not having much use or strength in my right hand for 4 whole months, I did not notice that my new brush did not get down to my scalp. So all of my hair close to my scalp got very tangled and very matted because for 4 months, my new hairbrush didn’t reach down to my roots. The day I got my cast taken off, I literally spent 18 hours straight trying to get my hair de-matted and detangled. I had very little success. From there, over the next year, I got online and googled every single de-matting/detangling technique and every detangling product ever known to man. Nothing worked. No hair products worked. No hairbrushes worked. No combs worked. I consulted with multiple hairdressers, and the consensus was that I would have to cut my hair off because the matting was too severe. I could not come to grips that I would have to cut off all of my hair because I had been growing it for so long. I got away with covering up the matted area for over a year by just twisting it up into a butterfly clip everyday. I finally just said, “Man, I have no choice but to cut off all of my hair.” I was so depressed. I told myself I was going to try one last time, and if I couldn’t get it detangled, I was going to cut it off. No more excuses. I came across this product, and it was literally my last hope. I applied this product to my hair, and worked thru my hair with a comb, and 4 hours later, the matting was completely gone! Every single tangle in my hair was completely gone! I spent over a year using every detangling product on the market and was not successful at all. After only 4 hours of working with this product, it completely saved my hair! 4 hours with this product did what no other product could do over an entire one year period! I truly am forever grateful that I was able to save my hair with the help of this product. Not only did it de-matt my hair that had been matted for over 1 full year, but I can also use it daily to “de-frizz” my curls. My hair is naturally very frizzy, and I have always had to use mousse and hairspray to keep my curls looking hydrated and to keep my hair from frizzing out and looking like Mufasa. My hair was always hard and “crunchy.” This product keeps my hair looking hydrated, and I can wear my curls with no mousse and no hairspray! My curls are soft and bouncy, and the volume in my hair is amazing! This product was definitely a game changer for me. I recommend it to anyone and everyone! I use it in my sons’ hair as well. Both of my sons have long, curly hair as well, and this product works like a dream for them as well. To Shea Moisture, I thank u from the bottom of my heart for saving my hair! And the cherry on top? Overly sweet strong scent like a kids’ perfume
This is the strongest smelling hair product I’ve ever used. It smells like pina colada candy. If you’ve ever heard the term “sickly sweet,” this is an example in action. I’d been looking for something to replace another coconut oil based product from Shea Moisture, and I love their other products. I don’t know if I can stand this one, though.

I love this product. After many hours of research, i came across this product. I started using it months back and I find there’s a huge difference. I use it once I come out of the shower. I don’t need to put a lot and it helps brush through all the knots. My hair is so soft, smooth and shiny. I’ve noticed a difference in my hair health. I find a lot more manageable and it’s been growing a lot longer. It doesn’t leave any greasy or sticky residue, it just feels very soft once your hair is dry. It’s very lightweight!
